Steven Colón, CPA

Steven has over 20 years of auditing, accounting, and tax experience. Steven began his career as an auditor and tax practitioner in the middle market territory of Upstate, New York for KPMG, LLP (an international accounting firm). He spent his time working on publicly traded companies, not-for-profit organizations, governments, hospitals, banks, manufacturing and construction companies. Later, Steven also gained valuable experience and expertise working in the regional and local CPA practice settings while in Rochester, New York and in Sarasota, Florida, where he began his own accounting and tax practice in 2003.

Steven has successfully represented numerous clients and has worked closely with IRS attorneys in the past on taxpayer cases gaining valuable insight and experience.

Steven is a Certified Tax Resolution Specialist (CTRS) certified by the American Society of Tax Problem Solvers (ASTPS). This makes him uniquely qualified to successfully solve IRS and State tax problems. Steven must meet educational, experience and examination requirements prescribed by the ASTPS, a national, not-for-profit professional organization. The ASTPS certification applies only to tax relief professionals who are a CPA, tax attorney, or enrolled agent in good standing with ASTPS and with the respective state, that licenses/regulates him/her.

Steven received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, New York in 1997 graduating Summa Cum Laude.
